Mathematical Research Schools in Egypt: Collaboration and Future Directions

On the occasion of the International Day of Women in Mathematics, the Egyptian Women in Mathematics Association (EWMA), in collaboration with the Egyptian Mathematical Society (EGMS) and Nile University, is pleased to announce the Call for Abstracts for the workshop entitled:

“Mathematical Research Schools in Egypt: Collaboration and Future Directions”

The workshop will be held at Nile University, Egypt, on 9 May 2026.

Aim of the Workshop

This one-day workshop aims to honor leading Egyptian women mathematicians, highlight the major mathematical research schools in Egypt and provide a platform for presenting recent research developments in fundamental areas of mathematics. The event also seeks to promote collaboration and introduce early-career and emerging mathematicians within these research schools.

Workshop Sessions: Abstract submissions are invited in the following thematic sessions:

1. Algebra, Number Theory, and Applications
2. Mathematical Analysis and Numerical Computations.
3. Quantum Field Theory and Theoretical Physics.
4. Nonlinear Dynamics and AI‎.
5. Algorithms, Hardware, and Automation.
6. Mathematical Statistics and Game Theory.

Abstract Submission

Participants are invited to submit an abstract (maximum 250–300 words) in Word or LaTeX form, describing original research or recent developments relevant to the workshop themes.

Abstract submission deadline: 1 April 2026

Notification of acceptance: 15 April 2026

Workshop date:     9   May 2026

Accepted abstracts will be presented as short talks during the workshop.
